Precision engineering meets high-performance visualization. This project involved the creation of detailed technical infographics and product specifications for the HTL2000 Heated Transfer Line, a collaborative solution developed by Powerblanket and Thermon.
The Challenge
In composite manufacturing and epoxy curing, maintaining stable temperatures during material transfer is mission-critical. The goal was to take a complex, multi-layered industrial product and create a clear, educational visual guide that details its construction and technical capabilities for engineering stakeholders.
The Solution: Technical Clarity
I developed a comprehensive technical suite that serves as both a marketing asset and a technical reference guide:
-
Exploded Heater Construction: A numbered, 3D-perspective visualization of the 8-layer assembly—from the internal PFA process tube and self-regulating heating cable to the Meta Aramid Felt insulation and outer protective shell.
-
Performance Infographics: Designed a high-density technical specification table detailing critical parameters such as a $200^{\circ}C$ max operating temperature, $\pm1^{\circ}C$ thermal stability, and customizable power densities.
-
“How to Specify” Logic Map: A visual breakdown of the complex HTL coding system, allowing customers to navigate variables like voltage, tube material, and sensor options (RTD, Thermistor, or Type K/J).
Impact & Precision
By translating sophisticated thermal technology into digestible visual data, this project supports the efficient transport of temperature-sensitive materials while preventing cold spots and degradation. The final assets adhere to strict industrial standards, highlighting FM and CSA certifications for hazardous and ordinary locations.
